MICHIGAN MAN SENTENCED TO 27 YEARS IN SEXUAL ASSAULT OF 4-YEAR-OLD, WWMT.COM

Grand Haven, MI — A West Michigan man will spend just under 30 years behind bars for sexually assaulting and exploiting a 4-year-old child. Police began an investigation against Brian Stefono, 55, of Grand Haven, after a cloud-storage provider discovered a collection of child pornography in his accounts, according to U.S. Attorney Mark Totten Monday. This included self-produced content of the 55-year-old assaulting the 4-year-old, officials said. Stefono would later plead guilty to assaulting the child multiple times at a home in Grand Haven. “Brian Stefono committed horrific crimes against children and will spend the next 27 years in prison because of it,” Totten said. “We urge anyone aware of child exploitation to contact law enforcement and we commit to doing everything we can to protect these victims.” Following his 27-year sentence, Stefono will serve 10 years of supervised release, according to Totten.
